Certigna is a Certification Authority created in 2009 by Dhimyotis, an organization specialized in data protection. It was a natural evolution for the French company that wanted to supply the French market with competitive and quality products.
In July 2012, Certigna is officialy referenced RGS by the DGME and become the one of the firsts certification authorities able to issue certificates meeting RGS requirements.
This standard, especialy created to control French and European network security, will become mandatory in April 2013.
Certigna now provides several products that are compliant with eIDAS standards which "is a milestone to provide a predictable regulatory environment to enable secure and seamless electronic interactions between businesses, citizens and public authorities".*
